The Cuban poet José Martí said that “there are three things every person should do in their lifetime: plant a tree, have a child and write a book.” It is not that everyone must literally do them, but it is a way of saying that we will be remembered for our works, our actions and our examples.
Curiously, I received the news that I was going to be a father just one month before publishing my book.
And a few days before Elizabeth was born, I decided to plant a tree (a coconut palm, in my case) so that, once and for all, I could complete this lovely checklist.
Well, someone later told me that the hard part is raising the child, ensuring the tree grows, and selling the book… so I am working on all three, and for now they are progressing!
Returning to the subject of this article, I had always wanted to write a book, although it took me time to feel ready to put on paper something worthy of being shared with the world.
My first attempt at drafting a manuscript was in 2013, in Thailand. By then I had already been living my “Asian life” for several months. That part of my life was so rich with beautiful experiences accompanied by a lot of reading on philosophical and transcendental topics. The Buddhist atmosphere there inspired me to delve deeply into spirituality. And my travels around Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, broadened and enhanced my outlook and character.

However, those notes were filed away, to be retrieved about five years later, in a different setting — England. There, specifically in Liverpool, I founded my company Atlas & Cosmos Ltd. in 2016, and within it the brand Quantum Life University Project (QLU Project), with the mission of transmitting all the knowledge and experiences from my earlier stages, as well as the many books and studies I had undertaken over the years on personal development, spiritual and scientific subjects.

At that time, I even invested in a programme that guided you through launching your book. Sadly, I did not make the most of that investment because I lacked an important thing: writing it. Those were very busy times managing the various aspects of my company in England, and I was only able to devote a few full days to creativity — not enough time to get everything out of my head with any literary craft.
The result was 17 introductory pages, which I again put away for more favourable times…
I had to wait until 2025, when I least expected to take up my small mission again. Thanks to a friend in Peru who had just written her book, and who put me in touch with the mentor she had used, I was pushed to finish once and for all what I had started more than a decade earlier.
At the first meeting with the mentor, he told me we needed a deadline, one month or at most two. One month seemed impossible. And two, well, almost, but I accepted the challenge. So I practically shut myself at home during that time, making this task my number one priority until it was finished.
It was not easy; it requires focus and daily discipline to organise in text, and in an engaging way, what you have scattered across different parts of the mind and memory.
Also during that meeting, which my friend attended, she told me that I inspired calm. So we decided to focus the book on that area of psychology: how to find (or rather, rediscover) inner peace. We did this for commercial reasons, although the book aims to inspire much more: it is a philosophy of life, also supported by science, and by the best I have taken from various religions, for living a fulfilled life.
That is to say, a life in which you have what you desire to be happy, in which you take conscious ownership of your destiny, and in which body, mind, emotions and spirit align to enjoy life in a healthy way, attracting people and situations that support your well‑being across all areas.
Difficulties will always arise; however, when you live consciously and connected, you can get through them while minimising their impact, and return to your natural state of fullness.
That is what I spent years learning, researching and experimenting for, and it allows me to live quite consistently in a state of happy calm. And always with new challenges that I set myself, always learning more, achieving new goals and, above all, enjoying the journey…
So, on 16 June 2025 I presented my book to the world, first in Spanish, and exactly one year later I did so in English as well.
I made a short introduction to the book in this webinar which I leave for you below:
I hope you enjoyed my story, and if you read my book, that you find it very inspiring.
That is the mission with which I wrote it.
Many blessings…
